They have become a new favorite for me over the past year. They had a design team call open this month. Regardless of the outcome I really enjoyed playing with all they things I had on hand from their product line.<br />
<br />
First up is a Thank you card using the Sun Kissed Fleur collection.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh68r_qxnay7ELRp5SXGYu44K2kpf76jvP4rsSXtu6Yki0-pj9Vf9UNBihAh9Gd9hTpu7CPHKlf66AoS8BkEfCxvx3vKh5m1MvRJIAjF1Gp2zmDfxJwQ20-YWgyabMQzEFdij_pucgz4L8/s1600/IMG_9551.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="250" kasperskylab_antibanner="on" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh68r_qxnay7ELRp5SXGYu44K2kpf76jvP4rsSXtu6Yki0-pj9Vf9UNBihAh9Gd9hTpu7CPHKlf66AoS8BkEfCxvx3vKh5m1MvRJIAjF1Gp2zmDfxJwQ20-YWgyabMQzEFdij_pucgz4L8/s320/IMG_9551.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
This card is a 5x7" base. Create the base of this card by cutting a piece of cream card stock to 7" x 10", score at 5". The card base is built using the sun kissed paper collection. I chose a
light blue for base, cheesecloth, darker blue for die cut resplendent rectangle, and a
3x5 image from the tags page at the end of the paper stack. Using olive grove ink, stamp Thank You sentiment to banner. Using the
distress tool, rough up the edges of this image. Adhere with
foam tape to give it a bit of dimension from the base.<br />
<br />
Using cream card stock for all: stamp the sun kissed fleur cling stamp using espresso truffle three times. Die cut the images and sponge color onto them using cantaloupe to the center and peanut brittle to the outer edges. Sponge color to the leaves using bamboo leaves to the center and olive grove to the outer edges. Shape flowers using the deluxe flower shaping kit and glue layers together. Die cut green swirls using the bella rose die. I trimmed the leaves off to only use the swirl of the die cut. Sponge color to the swirls using bamboo leaves and olive grove. Die cut layered elegant swirl for the upper left of the card under the flowers. Leave this die cut cream colored. Apply all die cuts to your finished card base and your card is complete.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
This card is both a card and a gift as you can insert a treat into the inside of the card. I followed the tutorial from <a href="http://stempeleinmaleins.blogspot.com/2011/09/buchkarte-book-card.html" target="_blank">Stempeleinmaleins</a> for the book card. All measurements are as stated in the tutorial.<br />
All papers used for this project are from the Romantique Gardens paper collection.<br />
<br />
On the front: using pink card stock diecut a decorative lace border. Trim to fit card base & adhere. Layer cheesecloth over lace border. Cut white cardstock 3.5" x 3.5" square, ink edges with rose bud and rhubarb stalk ink. Use corner rounding punch to all corners. The hummingbird image is selected from the paper collection. Cut out using a standard circles die. Adhere hummingbird image using foam tape. Add a bit of white lace trim under image. <br />
<br />
Using printed green cardstock from the paper collection, die cut two each of the flower base with swirls using the romantique garden die set. (One set for the front and one set for the inside right). Adhere to either side of the hummingbird image forming a heart. Using white card stock, stamp using tuxedo black ink the bleeding heart
flowers from the hearthrob precut stamp set four times. Die cut these images with
the romantique garden die set and sponge color onto them using angel pink, rose bud, rhubarb stalk. Work color from center out beginning with angel pink. Shape flowers using the deluxe flower shaping kit and glue layers together. Adhere with foam tape to add a bit of dimension.<br />
<br />
For the inside of the card:<br />
Left side: cut small image from tags page in paper collection. Matte with green print used for paper base swirls. Add leftover purple heart punch edge to sides.<br />
Right side: Adhere green flower base with swirls and inked up bleeding heart petals prepared while assembling the front of the card. Using purple printed card stock from the collection, border punch two 12" x 1" inch strips. Once edge is punched, cut into 4 5/8" strips. Adhere to all sides of the book card frame prepared with black card stock. Adhere the green swirl flower bases and shaped bleeding hearts to top and bottom corners. This completes your book card.<br />

This one is my favorite. Because the poppies! They are so beautiful. Everything about poppies makes me happy so these images were a winner before I brought them home.<br />
<br />
This card is 12x12. Cut brown card stock 6" x 12", score at 6". Card base is a 6" x 6" decorative square from the antiquity paper collection. Stamp the poppy corner to the inside white square. Color with Copic markers: poppies: R21, R05, R08, R56, R59. Leaves, stems and petal pods: G21, G24, G85, G94, G99. Seed pods: E51, E53, E55, E57, E59. Coat image with diamond glaze.<br />
<br />
Cut out small sentiment from paper collection. Distress edges and apply foam tape to add a bit of dimension. Adhere to card base inside of the poppy corner stamped image.<br />
<br />
Using white card stock: Stamp the blazing poppy petals precut stamp with black tuxedo ink: stamp set 3 times to white card stock. Die cut the images and sponge color onto them using: morocco from the center out and rhubarb stalk from the middle to petal tips. Shape flowers using the deluxe flower shaping kit and glue layers together. Add stickles copper glitter to folds and center of largest flower. Die cut leaves from bella rose die and spellbinders foliage. Sponge color on using bamboo leaves and olive grove. Coat with diamond glaze. It's been some time since I blogged any crafty craft but I am feeling the pull to get back into it all. A birthday card for a very special young lady came my way. <a href="http://stempeleinmaleins.blogspot.de/search?updated-max=2016-02-13T12:00:00%2B01:00&max-results=1" target="_blank">Stempeleinmaleins</a> had a really fun tutorial for the Twisted Card... so simple but looks so different then the normal card. At first I thought I would have a hard time layering decorative elements. Once I got into it I feel quite happy with the outcome. I took some creative ideas from their design team. Love how they motivate a little fun in new ways.<br />
<br />
The image is drawn by <a href="http://yampuff.deviantart.com/" target="_blank">Yampuff</a> at Deviant Art. This is a free download and honestly printed beautifully. I colored her with Copics and surrounded her with embellishments. Flowers are handmade with Heartfelt Creations Vintage Morning Background stamp. Added a paper doily, cheesecloth, crochet flower and Celebrate tag stamp. Heart sticks are a stamp fussy cut. This was completely taken from design team elements that follow the tutorial. I never thought to cut the images separate and seriously love how these look popping out of the folds. Inside the card I used Heartfelt Creations Decorative Blossom Corner and a Happy Birthday stamp. This needed to be a gift card holder and card. This design worked perfectly.<br />
<br />
I am looking forward to many more creative additions to this blog again. Creativity is a happy place for my spirit.<br />

After a very long hiatus I am happy to be back in the craft room and posting on the blog. Thanks to some serious motivation from my friend and her new craft shop Molly's Craft Shack, I will do my best to support her and bring many fun paper crafting ideas to my blog. <br />
<br />
Today I'll share a December Flip Calendar using the Heartfelt Creations Festive Christmas paper and a few of their great stamps and dies. Everything about this line is lovely. Rich texture. Great coordinates. Perfect for the holidays. I think this would make a lovely gift as well and it makes up pretty quick! I love the flower stamp and die sets. <br />
<br />
Originally I was gifted one of these a few years back from my dear friend <a href="http://kruemelsbastelblog.blogspot.de/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #783f04;">Kathrin</span></a><span style="color: #783f04;">.</span> There is a tutorial on<span style="color: #666666;"> </span><a href="http://stempeleinmaleins.blogspot.de/2012/11/adventskalenderkarte-advent-calendar.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: #783f04;">Stempeleinmaleins</span></a>. I decided to make mine a calendar for the full month versus advent. I really loved the finished product. My finished card size is 5.5x8. A little larger then the tutorial notes. I like this larger size. Seems to balance the number tags pretty well. <br />

They live where the tree's are plentiful so I am certain they too will make great use of the leaves year to year.<br /><br /><a style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);" href="http://www.cardpatterns.blogspot.com/">Card Pattern</a> #85 is the following sketch to play with:<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN0nxqu2KrBMx57qEyg58JHiAKBI08bO9dP45ZAPxUlXbvjDljcTzjxmD1LROMJOdUnH_u4uD8Q8fy9XbA9icd7-L2rUsdkGJqQckk2S5NCU4ZYd1_nxqb8EpPTsDsyxgqpMJBNnteGc8/s1600/card+patterns+sketch85.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 265px; height: 197px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN0nxqu2KrBMx57qEyg58JHiAKBI08bO9dP45ZAPxUlXbvjDljcTzjxmD1LROMJOdUnH_u4uD8Q8fy9XbA9icd7-L2rUsdkGJqQckk2S5NCU4ZYd1_nxqb8EpPTsDsyxgqpMJBNnteGc8/s400/card+patterns+sketch85.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5528475274561694978" border="0" /></a><br /><a style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);" href="http://www.create4fun-challenge.blogspot.com/">Create4Fun</a> #41 wants a Digi Stamp used.<br /><a style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);" href="http://totallypapercrafts.blogspot.com/">Totally Paper Crafts</a> #38 is looking for Autumn.<br /><a style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);" href="http://stampinfortheweekend.blogspot.com/">Stampin' for the Weekend</a> #49 is looking for Fall.<br /><br /><a style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);" href="http://digitalpenciltoo.com/index.php/Kai.html?keyword=kai">Kai</a> is one of many great digi stamps from <a style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);" href="http://digitalpenciltoo.com/">Mo's Digital Pencil.</a><br />Paper is Cloud9 Design: Harvest HolidayRheannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01644217490506292815noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8140947601416029359.post-23952781546973061862010-10-14T21:54:00.000-07:002010-10-14T22:05:25.908-07:00Belles 'n Whistles, Friday Sketchers #123, Pixie Dust Studio #44, Cupcake Inspiration #80<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIYCxv25kitS_gtRIOBnC7nYuEonkCDzt3_q23L1mtl_wygXQvtAtIMPnD8T518aLuJoQiyxH7v3yiYuXLfpa9CTfIcv7tstwyZ6gm6_wCVn8DGPz1KQYp4f6QXXMkxAB3nKry4DWvN5Y/s1600/100_8397.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 399px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIYCxv25kitS_gtRIOBnC7nYuEonkCDzt3_q23L1mtl_wygXQvtAtIMPnD8T518aLuJoQiyxH7v3yiYuXLfpa9CTfIcv7tstwyZ6gm6_wCVn8DGPz1KQYp4f6QXXMkxAB3nKry4DWvN5Y/s400/100_8397.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5528132356883633906" border="0" /></a>Would you just look at this cutie!!! I am sooooooo loving this sketch <a style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);" href="http://doubledutchchallenges.blogspot.com/">Double Dutch</a> has to play with. It was the perfect pair with my little Tilda... I don't know that she is specifically "Halloween" but the dress can be used in so many ways I thought she was perfect for my card.<br /><a style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);" href="http://magnoliadownunderchallenges.blogspot.com/">Magnolia Down Under</a> #65 is challenging us to use Flowers and Lace. On the front of my card I cut black primas into petals and used them under Tilda's feet.<br /><a style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);" href="http://doubledutchchallenges.blogspot.com/">Double Dutch</a> #53 has the following fun sketch to play with:<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgt9sQmMVGbpv09TBSMwL95qJCvQqxpY2m0No7vCMTlkagSa7lHDTwNBmBcZqZDJAduAEg3xcKJVqYtM8QWPjR_DbTMySokC05RMJnergnMXe_2jn9rNUCEtII__q-h1ZEYoLxZ0JQxWfU/s1600/DDC%2353.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 298px; height: 282px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgt9sQmMVGbpv09TBSMwL95qJCvQqxpY2m0No7vCMTlkagSa7lHDTwNBmBcZqZDJAduAEg3xcKJVqYtM8QWPjR_DbTMySokC05RMJnergnMXe_2jn9rNUCEtII__q-h1ZEYoLxZ0JQxWfU/s400/DDC%2353.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5523172532075812978" border="0" /></a>I hunted my stash again... gotta get the paper out of the shelves and onto a project! I soooo love this Cosmo Cricket: Haunted and I swear I thought I'd never actually use it. Every piece is double sided fun. On the inside of the card flap I wanted to see the print so I applied 2 layers of vellum... enough to see the print but enough coverage to see writing!<br /><br />Stamps used:<br /><a style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);" href="http://stempel-phantasien.de/">Magnolia</a>: Tilda With Thistle<br />Heide Grace: Halloween (spiders and web)<br />Making Memories: Spellbound (trick or treat)<br />Hero Arts: Owl-Oween (pumpkin and treat bag)<br /><br />The fence behind Tilda is punched from the new Martha Stewart mongo big punch. Thank you Kathrin for sharing it! So fun.<br /><br />I know I'll be using this sketch again. I mean... really... that is what we want to say most times but don't say it as simply. Autumn is such a beautiful time of year full of transition from the busy summer months, harvest time, cool crisp mornings, bright color everywhere, leaves rustling in the gentle breeze... all of that is caught up in this Magnolia stamp for me. She's just so sweet, ready for whatever the day might bring.<br /><a style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);" href="http://mytimetocraftchallenge.blogspot.com/">My Time To Craft</a> #108 hosts challenge "Looks Like Autumn"<br /><a style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);" href="http://stamptacularsundaychallenge.blogspot.com/">Stamptacular Sunday Challenge</a> #78 hosts challenge "Seasons of Change" using FALL colors.<br /><a style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);" href="http://justmagnolia.blogspot.com/">Just Magnolia</a> #74 sketch<br />Papers are DCVW Pocket Full of Posies and Cloud9 Harvest Holiday<br />Hero Arts Sentiment<br /><a style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);" href="http://stempel-phantasien.de/">Standing Fall Tilda</a><br />Cuttlebug for the die / embossed leafRheannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01644217490506292815noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8140947601416029359.post-13054960818390744592010-09-30T17:44:00.000-07:002010-09-30T17:54:12.705-07:00For The Love of My Boy...<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFmxMw_ppAhQ-hyTtoQAuUe6ytsZ6fdw4N2XHLG-_dP_KeOdlhQQSAzqwLnyMAA5TbMewMkr6QUElHrw4JopL15iGS9XdSHswrLlrZtZtYdz0ikSwmKXPnUNqAYrZa7lNeKAZ-91oDdGE/s1600/100_8292.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 384px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFmxMw_ppAhQ-hyTtoQAuUe6ytsZ6fdw4N2XHLG-_dP_KeOdlhQQSAzqwLnyMAA5TbMewMkr6QUElHrw4JopL15iGS9XdSHswrLlrZtZtYdz0ikSwmKXPnUNqAYrZa7lNeKAZ-91oDdGE/s400/100_8292.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522872592783879090" border="0" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNFO3vrQZR1PI71iA4e2Btua_wLoDfPyX2cyTQ_VimQG2G51G-MOdN38l-58NVMYmlCglN5zYuO4vHuhG4hVwD71CXUYtsMdaC8gsMGQpRAZ95uWslgpqcFFN4hUb8UNr4lzh7AnhreJc/s1600/100_8288.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 315px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNFO3vrQZR1PI71iA4e2Btua_wLoDfPyX2cyTQ_VimQG2G51G-MOdN38l-58NVMYmlCglN5zYuO4vHuhG4hVwD71CXUYtsMdaC8gsMGQpRAZ95uWslgpqcFFN4hUb8UNr4lzh7AnhreJc/s400/100_8288.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522872600598592482" border="0" /></a>My hubby and son went shopping a few nights back with a very specific list... you know how that can go... well, they came home with more than we needed and Liam got HIS own cartridge, lol. He is sooooo excited about the Wildlife Lite cart. He's been cutting animals and coloring them for days. Animals of all sizes. Who needs overlays when you can color or ink? Now that he 'gets' what ink can do he is having great fun. "Mommy, I need the Chestnut Roan for my Elk antlers over here!" Love it. Anyway, he asked me to make him a card with his new cartridge. This image of the Mommy bear and cub is totally cute. He was specific with his request. Had to be "boyish". Had to have an image only showing the mom and boy. Had to be an easel card. I am sooooo in love with them. This week the challenge is to use any 2x2 die or embossing folder (they do not have to be cuttlebug). I feel like I stretched this one a bit. I used the cuttlebug Halloween Sign die / embossing combo for the Happy Birthday sign... it's bigger than 2x2 but ya know... it works! Also, under those yummy 3-D flowers is a cute 2x2 Sizzix die / embossing combo. You can see the edges stick out a bit. The little floral arrangement was inspired by a post I ran across this weekend at <a style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);" href="http://scrapbooktrendsmag.com/blogs/simplyhandmade/">The Simply Handmade Blog</a>. There is a post for a flower wedding bouquet that is absolutely fabulous. I added yellow stickles to the edge of the roses, handcut the leaves - crumpled the paper and inked in 3 shades of green. My cousin's birthday is tomorrow. Weather permitting... we're having a little get together on the lake. She is a blonde haired cute little gardener... this Sarah Kay image was a perfect fit.<br />Have a great week!Rheannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01644217490506292815noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8140947601416029359.post-35426029570659764572010-06-29T08:00:00.000-07:002010-09-27T01:08:40.349-07:00You Are My Sunshine........<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiI5-jmQ2MJ2Akad1yJdyxYxAc8Iiu-g6Tli1CofwTHk30lr-s73b8_AAWeBbqVTp8l3U9UB5fWbO-Ij_QNQlZ-ZYGw46aQCQM93TIaD1X6Y4mNma56jNd5LWUKYPvHPs3kEdv2pGL2A0A/s1600/100_7885.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 236px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiI5-jmQ2MJ2Akad1yJdyxYxAc8Iiu-g6Tli1CofwTHk30lr-s73b8_AAWeBbqVTp8l3U9UB5fWbO-Ij_QNQlZ-ZYGw46aQCQM93TIaD1X6Y4mNma56jNd5LWUKYPvHPs3kEdv2pGL2A0A/s400/100_7885.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487678980868043490" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbBCnWp4gfTzRvntsNjWgvIK9Z_fMo4JjKEoVvF9E2UUNELxmjo47RTXLabFXRQ_oRMgK0vb3f0JFIEwDrOkUhKxwrKKe5kY3QM_TGfQesWwix8mZoMaUpT0kzYLhR0yXU_G5K2PeJ-pY/s1600/100_7888.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 255px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbBCnWp4gfTzRvntsNjWgvIK9Z_fMo4JjKEoVvF9E2UUNELxmjo47RTXLabFXRQ_oRMgK0vb3f0JFIEwDrOkUhKxwrKKe5kY3QM_TGfQesWwix8mZoMaUpT0kzYLhR0yXU_G5K2PeJ-pY/s400/100_7888.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487678973159791906" border="0" /></a>You are my sunshine, my only sunshine... you make me happy when skies are gray... you never know dear, how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away.<br /><br />My mom used to sing this little poem to me when I was younger. The firework stands are up and starting to sell, the weather is finally warm... it's time to celebrate! My little guy is ready for the fireworks, the parade, swimming at the beach and his Grandma's birthday as she was born on the 4th too!<br /><br />I found my image at <a style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);" href="http://clearlyvintage.blogspot.com/">Clearly Vintage</a>. Cora has several to choose from that are all fabulous. This was 'the one' for me though... singing, play, flurry of fun... it all speaks what the day is for us.<br /><br />My papers are all from K&Co, cuttlebug A2 Allegro embossing folder... ribbon and lace trim is from my OMG stash my Grandma keeps filled, lol. She is too funny but I love it. Thanks for stopping by!Rheannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01644217490506292815noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8140947601416029359.post-914969691709847112010-06-27T21:30:00.000-07:002010-06-27T21:35:13.287-07:00Summer Play Date Fun<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbDQGpP4NnFFb6Er9dkIkK1jYVdvgNY543ECiJmXcBvjDkEEDMzTq_WkgVD1fVG-rXsIIgJAVIk0D3dk1ctBOe7h7hFPvaDNOyrejrCXRCz-zK4IyUBETxP65aqk1HezIpxr5lb4h33zQ/s1600/100_7859.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbDQGpP4NnFFb6Er9dkIkK1jYVdvgNY543ECiJmXcBvjDkEEDMzTq_WkgVD1fVG-rXsIIgJAVIk0D3dk1ctBOe7h7hFPvaDNOyrejrCXRCz-zK4IyUBETxP65aqk1HezIpxr5lb4h33zQ/s400/100_7859.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487677477210449266" border="0" /></a>We has an alllllllllll day play date with 3 little friends this week. This picture is too cute I have to share it. We were having a popcorn break outside. All the kids had a rocket cup with water. After several attempts to get a good picture with good participation from all of the kids, mind you they are all 5 or 6 years old, they decided they were SO done with CHEESE and did a series of goofy faces. After seeing this group shot I wonder why I tried so hard to get them to comply with my sweet, adorable, smile please moments... This is who they are right now after all! Each made a different, unique to themselves only, face and I love it. Summer fun with good buddies... it doesn't get much better then this!Rheannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01644217490506292815noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8140947601416029359.post-25820415009836013302010-06-14T08:00:00.000-07:002010-06-14T08:00:02.204-07:00The Cuttlebug Spot - Layout Challenge<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0cBZ3aaaUMluwDNpcX3T5C3q9bUJR5RY_Ev_NVXwjz1vMuplXQZOB52CaOqgt0TWaYaugXO4NTmJImnA8XqDcq_zjWebhX1p6uAZa-qTdKl9tAe69XHA-XO5BU4BgefyAcSAp-HDr0aI/s1600/100_7646.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 388px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0cBZ3aaaUMluwDNpcX3T5C3q9bUJR5RY_Ev_NVXwjz1vMuplXQZOB52CaOqgt0TWaYaugXO4NTmJImnA8XqDcq_zjWebhX1p6uAZa-qTdKl9tAe69XHA-XO5BU4BgefyAcSAp-HDr0aI/s400/100_7646.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5482482960607037826" border="0" /></a>This week at <a style="color: rgb(255, 255, 204);" href="http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/">The Cuttlebug Spot</a> we're challenged to make a layout. I have never made a layout before... I take loads of pictures, and print them too, but never get them to paper. I am happy this page came together fairly simply, and the results have me wanting to keep on going with more pages.<br /><br />I used 2 cuttlebug folders, Herringbone and Explore, adding texture to the wallet sized prints on the right side of the page.<br />Paper, chipboard, sticker and rub-ons are Basic Grey - Archaic<br />Stamps are Scrappy Cat - Journaling Blocks and Autumn Leaves - Talking in Circles (boys)<br />I love the buttons. I added copper wire in the holes, then inked them with brown Staz-On ink to show the different textures on the buttons and dull out the shine a bit.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglku5szthd7cV5M9gJl47KduBczAsC2v_FJ73fvE32OG6aZDedzemToHO705NfQA2A0ySLGY1yRbA4QqJhFmIQLh0hPsLsGNFoONDZWePto-g45NqUXMmwYNTlur99zI9kyzmP_dKV3QI/s1600/Liam's+Smallie.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglku5szthd7cV5M9gJl47KduBczAsC2v_FJ73fvE32OG6aZDedzemToHO705NfQA2A0ySLGY1yRbA4QqJhFmIQLh0hPsLsGNFoONDZWePto-g45NqUXMmwYNTlur99zI9kyzmP_dKV3QI/s400/Liam's+Smallie.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5482482953858961986" border="0" /></a>This picture is hot off the press... Liam and Mike just returned from a fishing date. Liam caught his first Small Mouth Bass from start to finish... hooked, and reeled in without help. He is so excited. After seeing the bow shoot layout he is certain I need to make one with this picture too! He says, "Mom, Is that a "HOT DOG?" (Mike told him "Hot dog, that sure is a big fish!") So... I guess it is a Hot dog! LOL And he let me know he caught it on his ugly stick... which I later learned is the actual name of the fishing pole. I guess I need to up my skills! I had so many ideas it is funny and perfect all at the same time to see what I ended up with, lol. <a style="color: rgb(255, 255, 204);" href="http://www.digitaltuesday.blogspot.com/">Two For Tuesday </a>always has a fine selection of great vintage images for your use. Hop on over there and check out the other 4 recipe projects! They're all great, and we all ended up with something different. So fun. Cora selected many great images for us to use, and has posted them as well with our samples for you to use! We were not limited to the project... just had to use at least 8 of the images and tags.<br /><br />My recipe book is 7x6 inches with a pocket perfect for a standard sized recipe card, or even a little bigger... I cut the pocket diagonal thinking the little clippings I find along the way can also store and be seen while I try them and make a big card for them. I chose K&Co Amy Butler (Lucky Flowers) paper throughout. No surprise I picked K&Co but this stack in particular really 'hit the spot' for me. I love the bold colors and patterns throughout. I kept the embellishments simple using only small Prima's and stitching throughout, along with the same layout per page. I love 50's styles with the use of ric-rac and stitching for borders. I used a Martha Stewart punch along the left side of each page to bring this touch to each page, along with a bit of folded paper at the bottom. The book is bound with my BIA. Cora's images were easily re-sized with perfect clarity for this project.<br /><br />My last picture shows a recipe that is too simple and totally delish. It's a must try, and a must keep in your new recipe project! I found the old looking recipe card at <a style="color: rgb(255, 255, 204);" href="http://freeprintablesonline.com/2008/05/vintage-recipe-card-template/">Free Printables Online</a>.<br /><br />Delicious Scones<br /><br />Preheat oven to 400 degrees.<br /><br />2 cups flour<br />1/3 cup sugar<br />1 Tlbs baking powder<br />1 cup chopped walnuts<br />1 cup chocolate chips<br /><br />Mix dry ingredients<br /><br />Add 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream<br /><br />Mix. Kneed all together until combined. Press into a 1-inch thick circle. Cut into 1/8's.<br /><br />Bake 16-18 minutes.<br /><br />Switch it up substituting the walnuts and chocolate chips! They are great with dried fruit and almonds too. They keep for 3 days. My new fav with my coffee in the morning!<br /><br />Thank you Cora for the opportunity to join you and the other talented ladies you chose for this project. We had a little get together for him and his lovely mom. I have had the sewing bug lately and completed a cute little blanket for him as well as used some scraps for his card. This week at The Cuttlebug Spot we're crafting with our favorite flower... hmmm this was hard! I honestly don't have a favorite so I decided to try out my favorite never tried flower, lol! I am in love with fabric. I haven't done much sewing in ages but I feel it calling me... the fabric needs to be loved on like the paper... Anyhow, this little flower (aka Yo-Yo) is super cute and simple. I used a 4 inch circle, hand stitched around the edge, then pulled the stitch tight together creating the little circle flower. You could machine stitch it too of course. Add a button or brad and whallah... you have a quick, fun, fabric flower adding dimension to your card.<br /><br />Paper is DCVW The Green Stack.<br />Cuttlebug: A2 D'Vine Swirl and Elephant Thanks<br /><br />Have a great week!Rheannonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01644217490506292815noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8140947601416029359.post-79566353019358992602010-04-16T16:28:00.000-07:002010-04-16T17:03:55.951-07:00Just Magnolia Sketch, Roses On Paper #35, Stamp Something Layers, Cupcake Craft Challenges #85<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi10_tU7ZUePWeCnrHKMGh5ZUKlQgGQatO9v3xBdEwzI7o54lvUKNLREwPVZa2QowYOQlu-Yg-DXyEAK9y9EVsmjCKkjPUdIRRHFf4Bg2hWzUJzcl7NdQyeXJp4rvnJQAUBuhhLsi0yi6M/s1600/100_7438.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 102px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi10_tU7ZUePWeCnrHKMGh5ZUKlQgGQatO9v3xBdEwzI7o54lvUKNLREwPVZa2QowYOQlu-Yg-DXyEAK9y9EVsmjCKkjPUdIRRHFf4Bg2hWzUJzcl7NdQyeXJp4rvnJQAUBuhhLsi0yi6M/s400/100_7438.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5460890054468779122" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpGWDgG23IqpfOYjDTy8fuKIBDB5nB4BWdV9hSQyT8spUPFR61tDvH8kbU46xw0SEbokSK61P7T-ByQ6_NkbLiN10ndT0oOaWG9TRwZrZC_bLdX19wjkCPJU7cdHyOVKiycEAgva8m_SQ/s1600/100_7425.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 385px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpGWDgG23IqpfOYjDTy8fuKIBDB5nB4BWdV9hSQyT8spUPFR61tDvH8kbU46xw0SEbokSK61P7T-ByQ6_NkbLiN10ndT0oOaWG9TRwZrZC_bLdX19wjkCPJU7cdHyOVKiycEAgva8m_SQ/s400/100_7425.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5460890046173882626" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEBHCoqVRqXwuEzTOcamU3KM3OhIqzY-BVykGXAjhuC3PPAXmr7aqAEpM0EORx6ZZ2656HS0umw3gHNM9ke4adkLR2qnRbHKR8fiOqUc3iYS0LsosvjYbuBCAlBW65xF8_ZNoNLOtEhd4/s1600/100_7423.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 292px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEBHCoqVRqXwuEzTOcamU3KM3OhIqzY-BVykGXAjhuC3PPAXmr7aqAEpM0EORx6ZZ2656HS0umw3gHNM9ke4adkLR2qnRbHKR8fiOqUc3iYS0LsosvjYbuBCAlBW65xF8_ZNoNLOtEhd4/s400/100_7423.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5460889500379605282" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQSdmsN9N70oDy5XmxelDn37rQfEE8wflXpmBBIU3sVs3BGfZUU1KO5wc1s60uTYXhJFPK-DwmwYqJnbFEJATDVbs0kjQg31gsE7SXevzya0lYQyy0_QU0BBzY_J_U82Gpep5mdYrzmxg/s1600/100_7424.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQSdmsN9N70oDy5XmxelDn37rQfEE8wflXpmBBIU3sVs3BGfZUU1KO5wc1s60uTYXhJFPK-DwmwYqJnbFEJATDVbs0kjQg31gsE7SXevzya0lYQyy0_QU0BBzY_J_U82Gpep5mdYrzmxg/s400/100_7424.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5460888295049825810" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXK3DJSE_1gHMMJoYOgjFXs_PU4hNNt2nVxZ9TUhA_kpn_PMrhYcKvqbAqMUoNCnd24yS5DsbGnG8i7EJN5epOFDe8CdChO93lnzDgNVnlr5mQfKzlvgYDGqOOtDlwImDvkgwvHKKUaYU/s1600/100_7429.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 378px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXK3DJSE_1gHMMJoYOgjFXs_PU4hNNt2nVxZ9TUhA_kpn_PMrhYcKvqbAqMUoNCnd24yS5DsbGnG8i7EJN5epOFDe8CdChO93lnzDgNVnlr5mQfKzlvgYDGqOOtDlwImDvkgwvHKKUaYU/s400/100_7429.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5460887639647290882" border="0" /></a>Okay, okay I know Easter is past but... I'm loving my Magnolia's from the 2009 collection and found a little inspiration to use several of them in this card from a Paper Crafts 3/2009 magazine. It took me longer then it should have to put together. It was a fun project from beginning to end. I had a little help from some challenge blogs to put it all together.<br /><br /><a style="color: rgb(255, 255, 204);" href="http://justmagnolia.blogspot.com/2010/04/just-magnolia-first-birthday-blog-hop.html">Just Magnolia</a> has a great sketch (as well as a Blog Hop so be sure to check it out!!)
