The Cuttlebug Spot ~ Challenge 24

The Cuttlebug Spot offers a great challenge this week... Double Embossing. I think I made 5 or 6 trials before thinking I'd found a good match of folders for my card this week. You take 2 folders you'd like to pair up, emboss once with the first, then using the same paper emboss it with the 2nd folder. Your first will flatten out a bit but still leave a bit of extra texture. The results of our design team are great. We'd love to see your take on this challenge so stop by and leave us a note :)
Cuttlebug A2 folders: Traffic Jam & Swiss Dots
Print paper~ K&CoMPANY- AB Lotus Tea Box
Cardstock: The Paper Co- Citron Green. This had a bit of texture to begin with also

The Cuttlebug Spot ~ Challenge 23

Spring is in the air for all of us at The Cuttlebug Spot this week~ we've all made something feeling Spring... card, layout, altered item... whatever you're feeling creative for is just right! I am a big time fan of Mary Engelbreit. This year I have a desk calendar that brings me a lovely piece of art she has created daily. While I have many ideas swirling about to craft them... this one was absolutly perfect for our Spring challenge. For now it is just something cute to look at but I adhered it all to a clear album sheet... I may be sharing additional pages in the near future :) There are so many stunning projects created by other design team members this week. Please stop by and have a look or share your own piece of Spring with us!

The Cuttlebug Spot ~ Challenge 21

We have a fun challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot this week... Serendipity technique embossed used somehow on your card. I had a lot of fun with this card. My son and I made a ABC fishing game using Cricut's An Ocean of Words over the weekend which is what prompted this card. He of course loves the pirate ship. He helped me by tearing the bits of paper for the backround while I made the cuts and doodled. I think we did pretty good! LOL I am really impressed with the other design team cards this week. So many different looks and ideas for this technique I definately will be trying out myself in the future. Stop by and show us your work~

Materials used:

Cricut: An Ocean of Words~ Pirate ship cut at 3 3/4, Waves 1 1/4, Seagrass 3 3/4.

Just Christmas and Birthday Cards ~ Sketch 21

Another Monday means another great sketch to play with at JCBC! This week it is my turn, my sketch, to create with. This is my 2nd sketch I've created ever... let us see what you can do with it! :) I had to do it backwards... make the card first, then the sketch. All of the DT has put their own special touches on their creations that are sure to inspire. Please stop by and give the sketch a try yourself!

The Cuttlebug Spot ~ Challenge 20

This week marks the final week of our "B's" at The Cuttlebug Spot... this time B is for bows. Any kind of bow you'd like can be made or used. For me, this was a real challenge. I have never ranked high in my bow making, often taking several hundred tries to finally get one perfect in my eye! Maybe not hundreds, but a lot that's for sure! This card was created using my "Simple Bows" tool / template. I will admit I flunked using this at first but I think I have it down now. My card is a simple Thinking of You, but you must stop by The Cuttlebug Spot to see the other DT projects! I am blown away by their creativity. I know I am inspired and am sure you will as well.

Paper: DCVW Garden Stack
Cuttlebug: A2 Border~ Frills and 4 pack Feel Better
Ribbon is Martha Stewart, bow tied using Simple Bows template
