These little boxes are soooo additcting! Check out the following link for the tutorial. http://danniesdesigns.typepad.com/my_weblog/tutorial/ Dannie is so talented. I love checking out her blog for inspiration and trying out her tutorials.
A new card folding technique that is so fun and simple... this triangle trifold card is a winner in my book. See for details: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ee/index.php/resources/tutorials/triangle_trifold/ The envelope was cut from Walk In My Garden, back flap scalloped with a corner rounder (guard off). Cover of envelope has a touch of Accent Essentials.
I am so excited I found these pictures! This little card is the perfect example of why I needed to start my blog... so I can look at it later and know right where it is! LOL This was made last Easter for my sons daycare mom. We took our boys together to an Eggstravaganza celebration. I tried to be sneaky and take pictures of her boys without her noticing (although they told on me later) so I could put this together for her. I really love the way it turned out.
This layout was created based on a challenge to do a book of me. As scrappers... we tend to see our world through the eyes of those we photograph, create our pages for others or capture our memories of times we've lived with friends and family. The challenge to look within turned out to be extremely difficult for me. While I was supposed to make a book... I only complete this first page. I guess I have more looking within to do but know one day I will complete it. I'll post more pictures as they come to life!
20 Again... Happy Bithday card. This card was so much fun to make. I used the Cricut Home Accents for the frame cut, gamisol techniqueue for coloring. This cartridge is so fun. The outside of the card is a transperancy with the dark purple card folded inside.
This year my step-mom turned 50. She had a fun party with loads of friends. I made her the following invitations to pass out. Her color was purple... everything and more purple... I brought in a lot of textured elements simply to these by heat embossing the stamp, embossed paper with the tiny bubbles cuttlebug folder and stamping with a versamark ink pad for a suttle touch on the scalloped cut. The stamp is 'partygirlabella', found at stampingbella.com. Thise little ladies are too fun.
This year for Mothers day I wanted something cute and elegant at the same time, and simple becasue I waited until 'the' day to make it! This little purse card was the perfect fit. The purse was made from a template online. It really worked great to dress up the gift too!
Easter is such a nice way to ease into spring and summer! All the images are so friendly and fun. I made several of these cards for a Easter themed card swap on the mb.
Mini Albums are so fun! I adore looking at them. This was my first attempt to make one. My step-dad turned 61 this year. He adores my son so we pulled together 61 pictures of him, some with Grandpa but most alone, and made a book of '61 Reasons I Love You'. It really turned out great. I had Liam go through each photo with me and tell me something about it and / or Grandpa. This is where the 61 reasons came... then we typed each with a number and randomly placed them on each page.
A few little Pocket Cards were the perfect touch for Studio G stamps RAK'S. Similar to the Criss Cross card, these are so easy to put together and always look great.
Ahhh... the Criss Cross cards... the fondness I hold for this simple pattern is truely heart felt! :) They're just so darn easy to make and almost always look great. You can't beat that combination. These were for card swaps I took part in on the cricut mb.
House Mouse... I love these little stamps! There is so much detail and possibility for making the image come to life. We all hope our friends and loved ones are well... sometimes they need a little 'Feel Better' to pick them up!
For co-worker birthdays I try to make a little something for each of them. This time I made a 'mini' criss cross card for all of my team to sign and a Happy Birthday sign for the cubie wall. It turned out really simple and fun, just perfect for the birthday girl.
I adore Halloween. I love the colors, rich textures that seem to come alive with the changing season. This sign was SOOO much fun to make. It is whimsical and just makes me smile.
These pages were made for a co-worker's baby shower gift. I teamed up with another creative scrapper to give her a complete book. I gleened ideas from the ladies on the circut message board. Their talent and willingness to share their work inspired me and kept me going for sure!
